Compaq Laptops

Compaq is an American Person Computer company that has been around since 1982, the Compaq line is now a part of the Hewlett Packard. The company was originally created by Rod Canion, Jim Harris and Bill Murto. They came up with the name Compaq by taking the words Compatibility and Quality. The Compaq Company formed some of the very first IBM PC Compatible computers.
In November 1982, Compaq had released their first product, the Compaq Portable. This portable was an IBM PC compatible personal computer. This computer was the prototype of the lamps tops. This first computer sold over 53,000 units that first year. A few years later the first laptop Presario was introduced and the Compaq laptop took off from there.
Compaq was once the largest computer supplier in the world. They were a single corporation until 2002 when they merged with Hewlett Packard. Some of the best laptop computers have come from the Compaq line of computers. The very popular Presario, Portable, Tc1000 and Armada. Compaq is still one of the best computers in the world today. Their standard of quality is above and beyond what a computer should be.
Since they have merged with Hewlett Packard their quality of service and product has not suffered anything. You can still get that great Compaq name at a great price.
